Who loves some group exercises? I know I do! And that was a big reason behind starting DailyBarre. There are so many advantages of exercising in a group setting! I know when I first moved here, I didn’t know anyone, never got out, talked to myself and then when Cory got home from work, I would talk to him non-stop. Not that he isn’t a great socialist, but there is something about that “girl talk”, am I right?

I get so much from each and every one of you amazing women every single day! I love the energy everyone has (even at 5am….maybe more like 5:30 after we have warmed up and our seats are on fire) 😉

So, what are all of the advantages from working out in a group setting?

Motivation I don’t know about you, but being in a room full of women is motivating! And, when we have a goal of feeling better for ourselves, that is even better! And, just when you think you can’t do anymore, one of our instructors motivates you for 1 more push-up, 8 more “tiny lifts” or to hold that pose just a little bit longer!

Social Opportunities I have met some pretty amazing women through DailyBarre and we are only into our 2nd full month! This is a way I get to talk with my friends and I meet new ones. We can get out into the community more, learn about new things going on around us, and, we are having more fun working out in a group than by ourselves, walking on a treadmill or looking at those weight machines, wondering what to do next.

Health & Form Benefits Hello…..this is a biggie! Moving your body just 30 minutes a day can have huge health benefits, both physical and mental! Are your goals cardiovascular improvement and weight-loss? How about strength? Or maybe flexibility? Check, check and check! We can do all of those! What about mental health? Is it just good for you mentally to move your body and talk to other people? I know at 4am when that alarm goes off, you are likely thinking that it is mentally more healthy for you or maybe your family, if you got more sleep, but, maybe later in the day it will be overall more beneficial if you stopped hitting that snooze button and just joined us at that studio!

And finally, what about Accountability! How many times have you set your alarm to go to the gym, and since you aren’t meeting anyone there, you don’t have anyone to hold you accountable. Nobody will know if you sow up or not, and sadly, we have no problem cancelling on ourselves. However, we are more likely to force ourselves to go if we said we were going to meet someone at the gym, right? I know this has pushed me to go to the gym more times than I care to admit!

So, check around and find what classes might be best for you. Text your bestie and agree to meet up at DailyBarre sometime this week. Our schedule has something for everyone and we can’t wait to see you at the barre!
